Talent Acquisition Associate
The Talent Acquisition Associate role is an integral part of the Talent Acquisition team, supporting the team to have an efficient and effective recruitment and selection process for hiring KIPP DC staff members. The starting salary range for this role is $54,039-$57,765. This is a full-time role, with hybrid flexibility based at our headquarters office with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2025.

About the Talent Acquisition Associate Role
The Talent Acquisition Associate will work with other members of the Talent Acquisition team to implement effective strategies to evaluate and hire high-caliber candidates for roles at KIPP DC. They will also support the Talent Acquisition team through their management of several administrative tasks and projects. This is an exempt position and will report to the Director of Talent Acquisition.
Location and Type of Work
As a headquarters team that is focused on being responsive to our schools and meeting the needs of our students and families, we approach our work in a way that reflects these priorities. This position will generally work independently and not regularly interface with students, families, or school teams. This position will primarily work from our headquarters office to maintain a connection to their colleagues and foster a sense of cross-functional collaboration. Because of the nature of this position’s work, this role allows for hybrid flexibility and will be required to be onsite 2 - 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
The percentages for each key responsibility are estimates. Flexibility and responsiveness are encouraged to accommodate organizational needs.
Hiring Support (70% of the time)
- Conduct the initial resume reviews and phone screens of prospective candidates and manage the transition to the appropriate talent acquisition manager
- Schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers, including creating calendar invites and sharing logistical information
- Prepare interview day materials as needed
- Provide clear and accurate communication with candidates throughout the hiring process
- Support talent acquisition teams to execute targeted event strategy, such as preparing materials, managing logistics and attending career fairs and school visits, that build interest and investment in working at KIPP DC
- Partner with talent acquisition sub-teams to support high volume hiring needs through resume screening, initial phone screening and providing on-site interview day support
- Build strong relationships across KIPP DC teams to provide high quality service and ensure alignment of the recruitment and selection process
- Manage general talent acquisition team inbox
- Maintain and manage detailed records of candidates through JazzHR, our application tracking system, and other data systems
- Track and analyze data, communicate progress to goals, and work with recruiting teams to support the use of data to inform strategies to improve recruitment efforts
- Ensure appropriate records for new hires are transferred to human resources teams
- Assist in candidate and teammate travel planning and booking
- Develop and maintain project management systems for assigned roles and responsibilities and report progress to key stakeholders.
- Interact directly with students, families, principals or school staff members, when possible, to build connections at the school level and to contribute to the success of our schools and programs
- Serve as a thought partner for talent acquisition teammates and provide support as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned in team roles and responsibilities distribution
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 2 years teaching or working in an education organization
- Previous talent acquisition and/or recruitment experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Google Suite (Google Docs, sheets, Slides and Forms)
- Ability to travel across KIPP DC schools
- Flexibility to work outside normal business hours or weekends for KIPP DC event

Compensation and Benefits:
KIPP DC offers an extremely competitive compensation and benefits package:
- The anticipated starting salary range for this position is $54,039 -$57,765. At KIPP DC we strive for clarity, equity, and to be highly competitive. When determining salaries we look at benchmarks in the education and non-profit sector.
- KIPP DC offers a robust benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurances; various voluntary benefits; and employer paid benefits such as short term disability, long term disability, life insurance, and a membership to One Medical.
- KIPP DC also offers a 403(b) retirement account with a 3% employer contribution and a 3% match with vesting after three years.
- Currently, individuals in this role have up to 15 paid time off days, up to 10 paid sick days, and 12 paid holidays. This is subject to change and your exact schedule will be shared in your offer letter.
