Dean of Math Instruction

Position Overview
This is a critical role in our pursuit of ensuring that each and every one of our students has the skills and mindsets needed to achieve and feel confident as mathematicians, problem-solvers, and critical thinkers!
The school-based math coach and interventionist is a member of the school team and designed to both provide direct intervention to students and to support a cohort of math teachers. The work of math intervention is designed to teach and accelerate student learning for those students performing below grade level benchmarks and standards. The work of peer coaching support will be guided by the school principal, with a focus on supporting teachers in planning, lesson internalization, and responsive teaching. This is an exempt position and reports to the school principal. This role is paid on our Dean scale. This position is currently designated as a 1-year role, and will be reevaluated at the end of the SY 24-25 school year.
